Jackson Christmas Parade – 12/03/2011

What a glorious and beautiful day God gave us for the December 3rd Christmas Parade in Jackson, Missouri.  Thanks to Michael Toeniskoetter for leading the charge — and to Barbara Barnard and Tom Young for there enormous effort.  After days of effort by Michael, Tom, and Barb, more of us arrived early at Tom’s house on Saturday to finish the assembly of Cape County Tea Party’s first try at a float!

Michael and Tom hard at work when I arrived:

Work continues:

Joseph and Mary battle the winds!  It was beautiful outside – but windy:

We were proud to find out that we won a ‘Christmas Spirit Award’:

And, one more shot of the group:

The parade started and was over in 30 minutes; tons of work for a quick brisk walk.  We passed out thousands of pieces of candy and hundreds of informational cards.  What a wonderful day!

Thanks again to all who participated, to God for giving us such a beautiful day, and to the City of Jackson for organizing a great event!
