This article is great reading for those who believe a quality education is a way to help this great country remain a leader in the free world. The students who won their categories put in a lot of hard work and strictly followed scientific methods. One of these students could be the next Alexander Graham Bell, George Washington Carver, Mary Anderson or Patricia Bath, MD. My hat goes off to these young folks on a job well-done.
Here comes the “but” bomb.
As I read through the list of the winners, there were none from either Cape Girardeau Public Schools or from Jackson R-II.
You may be blaming it on the individual schools. Let me counter that argument with this thought. Any organization is only as good or performs as well as the leadership permits it. If the overall system is failing, a new leadership…
